Last week marked the first sitting week of the 48th Parliament, where early childhood education and child safety were recognised as a national priority. I wrote in my last update of our commitment to child protection and recognition that there is no panacea for these complex challenges. Within Catholic Education, we prioritise vigilance and we are committed to working with governments to ensure every child in our schools and early childhood settings is protected, supported, and able to thrive.

Countdown to the Australian Catholic Education Conference – Just One Week to Go!

I’m excited to say it’s just one week until the Australian Catholic Education Conference! After months of preparation, we’re ready to welcome attendees to Cairns for what will be the biggest Catholic education gathering of the year. We have an impressive line-up of speakers, presenters, and workshops designed to inspire, challenge, and connect our community.

I’m particularly looking forward to moderating a panel with Federal Education Minister Jason Clare and Archbishop of Sydney Anthony Fisher. It’s fantastic to have Minister Clare joining us for this important conversation. His presence underscores the significance of Catholic Education in Australia.

For those unable to be in Cairns, our on-demand ticket is a great way to stay connected. It gives you access to recorded keynotes and presentations, so you can join the discussion and build your professional learning from wherever you are.

I also extend my deep appreciation to our partners and sponsors whose generosity has helped bring this conference to life. Their details are listed below, and further information can be found on the conference website.

See you all in Cairns.
