With just over two months to go, excitement is building for the 2025 Australian Catholic Education Conference, to be held from 20–22 August at the Cairns Convention Centre.

Under the theme ‘hope, anchored in faith’, the conference will explore the strategic vision and mission of Catholic education through the pillars of Faith, Excellence and Access. The program features a rich variety of presentations, workshops, and panel discussions covering Catholic identity and mission, learning and teaching, leadership and governance, parent and parish engagement, advocacy, marketing, and more. The full program is available on the conference website, and I encourage you to take a look at the diverse and expert line-up of presenters who will be sharing their knowledge and insights.

We have an outstanding line-up of keynote speakers and guest presenters, including internationally respected educationalist Professor Dylan Wiliam, who will lead a Full Day Workshop on Friday 22 August. Places for this workshop are still available, and I strongly encourage you to register early to secure your spot.

Registration remains open, and we invite all educators, leaders, board members, clergy and religious, parents and all those involved in Catholic education to be part of this triennial opportunity for professional learning, networking and renewal.

If you can’t attend in person, we have just launched an on-demand ticket that will enable up to 3 months access to over 70 keynotes, masterclasses, workshops and more.

Catholic school students from around the country are also invited to contribute to the Conference through Speaking to Country recordings and art submissions as a meaningful way for our students to share their voice and creativity.

I look forward to seeing many of you in Cairns this August as we gather together in this Jubilee year with hope, anchored in faith.
