Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP has been re-elected as Chair of the Bishops Commission for Catholic Education (BCCE). His steady leadership and deep commitment to Catholic education have been invaluable, and we look forward to his continued guidance as we navigate both opportunities and challenges in the sector.

We also warmly welcome the return of the Bishop of Wagga Wagga, Most Rev Mark Edwards OMI, whose insights and pastoral experience continue to enrich our shared work at NCEC. A special welcome is extended to the Bishop of Cairns, Most Rev Joe Caddy AM, who joins the BCCE for the first time.  At the same time, we take this opportunity to sincerely thank the Most Rev Tony Ireland, Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne, for his dedicated service to the BCCE and NCEC. His thoughtful perspective, steady presence, and pastoral care have been deeply valued, and his contribution over the past two years has helped shape key directions for Catholic education nationally.

The remaining members of the BCCE are Auxiliary Bishop of Sydney, Most Rev Daniel Meagher and NCEC Executive Director Jacinta Collins as Executive Secretary.
